The Ambassadors of Turkmenistan and Portugal in Russia discussed the development of bilateral relations

The Ambassador of Turkmenistan to Russia Batyr Niyazliev on Monday met with the Ambassador of Cyprus in Moscow Maddalena Fischer and discussed the development of bilateral relations with her. It was reported by the official website of the Embassy of Turkmenistan in Russia.

The meeting was held in a friendly atmosphere and in the spirit of mutual understanding. During the meeting, the parties discussed acute issues of mutual interest of international, regional and bilateral character.

Special attention was paid to the relations between Turkmenistan and Portugal, for the dynamic development of which there are a large potential in many directions is available. The sides stated the positive dynamics of the developing of bilateral relations in the main spheres.

Moving to the discussion of the activation of Turkmen-Portuguese relations, the parties mentioned the energy sector, textile industry, high technology, etc. as promising areas of constructive cooperation and mutually beneficial partnership. As it was noted, Turkmenistan and Portugal maintain mutually beneficial friendly relations and successfully cooperate within the framework of reputable international organizations, in particular, the UN.

At the end of the meeting, the sides expressed confidence in further strengthening of bilateral mutually beneficial relations between Turkmenistan and Portugal.

Diplomatic relations between Turkmenistan and the Portuguese Republic were established on August 13, 1992.
