The Belarusian Universal Commodity Exchange plans to increase trade turnover with Turkmenistan

This year, the Belarusian Universal Commodity Exchange plans to increase trade turnover with Turkmenistan by realizing the export potential of the exchange platform. We are talking mainly about lumber, dairy products and sugar.

In this regard, the head of the foreign economic activity department of the Belarusian Universal Commodity Exchange visited Ashgabat, reports the IIC.

Within the framework of the visit, organized by the Minsk branch of the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry together with the Embassy of the Republic of Belarus in Turkmenistan, a number of meetings were held with potential importers of the timber industry and food industry enterprises of Turkmenistan.

The BUCE representative also visited the State Commodity and Raw Materials Exchange of Turkmenistan. Here he attended sessional exchange trading and held negotiations with the management of the SCRMET.

As a result of the negotiations, an agreement was reached on the exchange of experience, technologies and methodological developments in the field of electronic exchange trading. The issue of the possibility of mutual accreditation of stock brokers BUCE and SCRMET for participation in trading on mutual terms remains under consideration, the source notes.
