On 2 December the session of Turkmenistan’s Central Commission for Elections and Referenda, devoted to preparations for the forthcoming elections of the Mejlis members of the 6th convocation, members of the velayats, etrap and municipal Khalk Maslakhaty of the 4th convocation and members of Gengeshi of the 8th convocation, was held.
“Turkmenistan: golden age” reports that pursuant to Turkmenistan’s Elections Code, the election campaign will be launched in Turkmenistan on 4 December 2017 and the candidates will be nominated 60 calendar days ahead of the polling day.
Let us recall that the Parliamentary elections are scheduled to be held in Turkmenistan on 25 March 2018.
