The Chinese Foreign Minister welcomed Turkmenistan's participation in the third “One Belt, One Road” Forum

Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi welcomed Turkmenistan's participation in the third “One Belt, One Road” Forum for International Cooperation in Beijing, reports Xinhua news agency.

Turkmenistan’s participation in this important event will give new impetus to the development of bilateral cooperation and advance the implementation of various important projects, the Chinese Foreign Minister said during a meeting with his Turkmen counterpart Rashid Meredov.

Wang Yi also added that Turkmenistan is a key partner of China in the implementation of the “One Belt, One Road” initiative.

The third “One Belt, One Road” International Cooperation Forum will be held in Beijing on October 17-18. Its main theme will be “High-quality construction of the “One Belt, One Road”, joint achievement of common development and prosperity”, according to a press release from the Chinese Foreign Ministry.
