The Consul General of Turkmenistan in the Republic of Tatarstan (RF) Guych Garayev met with the director of the Institute of Sea and River Fleet Ilyas Salahov, the press service of the diplomatic mission reports.
During the meeting, the parties discussed the possibilities of training and retraining Turkmen specialists for sea and river transport in Kazan.
Salahov noted the important role of the Turkmenbashy international seaport on the Caspian Sea, which requires appropriate training of specialists. Garayev emphasized that the development of transport links, including through the Caspian Sea, is one of the priority areas of Turkmenistan’s foreign policy.
In addition, there is a modern shipbuilding and ship repair plant “Balkan” in Turkmenistan, which also needs qualified personnel.
Following the meeting, the parties exchanged views on the development of cooperation in the field of education, and the organization of training and retraining of personnel.
