The delegation of the State Customs Service of Turkmenistan visited National Customs Agency of the Republic of Bulgaria

From 24-28 October, 2022, a delegation of the State Customs Service of Turkmenistan visited the National Customs Agency of the Republic of Bulgaria. The visit was organized by the Regional Office for Central Asia of the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime as part of the UNODC and WCO Global Container Control Programme.

On the first day of the visit, a meeting was held between the delegations of the State Customs Service of Turkmenistan and the National Customs Agency of the Republic of Bulgaria.

Bulgarian colleagues presented the history of the development of customs service and customs administration in Bulgaria.The parties also discussed the issue of exchanging information on high-risk cargo.

As part of the visit, our delegation visited the Kapitan Andreevo customs office located on the Bulgarian-Turkish state border, as well as the Central Customs Laboratory of the National Customs Agency of the Republic of Bulgaria. Bulgarian customs officers shared their experience in organizing control over container/freight traffic.
