On May 17, an informal round-table meeting was held at the WHO Headquarters, bringing together ministers of health and heads of delegations from Central Asian countries Turkmenistan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, and Uzbekistan with the Regional Director for the WHO Regional Office for Europe, Dr.
Hans Kluge.The primary objective of the meeting was to discuss and coordinate the final stage of institutionalizing the Roadmap for Health and Well-being in Central Asia for the period 20262030 (RMCA 2.0), including its official adoption and launch as a key regional format for strategic partnership.
The sides reviewed successive steps for the official launch of the Roadmap, as well as opportunities for its integration with other high-level regional processes, including events within the framework of the Year of Health in the CIS.
At the bilateral meeting with Dr.Hans Kluge, the parties discussed current issues of regional interaction in the healthcare sector and noted the prospects for further strengthening cooperation in the field of public health.
