Correspondents of “Chronicles of Turkmenistan” report that the US dollar has seen a sharp increase at the “black market”. A week ago the US dollar could be bought at 7 manats but today foreign currency speculators are buying it at 8-8,4 manats.
According to the reports of our readers, the dollar increased to 9 manats.
At the same time, the market is experiencing the deficit of foreign currency and it is now next to impossible to buy dollars.
The news outlet ANT with reference to its sources also reported on the increase in the US dollar exchange rate.
Let us recall that in January 2016 the banks of Turkmenistan stopped exchanging foreign currency which led to the flourishing of the “black market” and a sharp increase in the dollar exchange rate.
