Today, the official launch of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development program “Mentor School for Women Entrepreneurs of Turkmenistan-2023” took place as part of the “Women in Business” program.

The event, which was funded by the European Union, was attended by EU Ambassador to Turkmenistan Diego Ruiz Alonso, international experts, as well as mentors and mentors from Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan, where this program has been running for several years, spoke.

This is the first project of its kind in Turkmenistan. The purpose of the mentoring program is to strengthen the potential of women entrepreneurs with a view to their further growth. The main goal of the project can be divided into two components: the development of a network of mentors, the development of women entrepreneurs (menti).

Within the framework of the project, 15 mentors and 30 mentees were selected to work for 2 months. The project will be held in a hybrid format: offline and online. International experts will train local mentors, who, in turn, will work in tandem with mentees.
