The first anniversary of the creation of the UNESCO Chair “Cultural Heritage: From Past to Future” was celebrated at the Magtymguly Turkmen State University.
On this occasion, a solemn event was held, which also included the celebration of the International Day of Women and Girls in Science, established by the UN General Assembly.
According to the publication “Turkmenistan: Golden Age”, the forum was attended by female teachers of the country’s universities, female scientists from research institutions, as well as representatives of the UNESCO university department “Cultural Heritage: From Past to Future” and students.
The meeting participants reviewed the results of the activities of the UNESCO Department of Magtymguly Turkmen State University over the past year.
Within the framework of the celebration, there was an exhibition that presented books by the National Leader of the Turkmen people, collections of poetry by Magtymguly Fragi, published in Turkmen and foreign languages, as well as scientific works, monographs, and collections of articles dedicated to the work of the poet.
The exhibition also introduced guests to various projects prepared by students, young scientists, and members of the university's UNESCO department.
A concert was performed for the guests by the creative team of the cultural center Bagtyýarlyk owazlary Magtymguly Turkmen State University, the source notes.
Let us remind that UNESCO departments operate in two higher educational institutions of Turkmenistan, UNESCO clubs are open in five universities, and 6 secondary schools of Turkmenistan are included in the network of UNESCO associated schools.
