A Center for repair and maintenance of power equipment is to be commissioned in the Bezmein District of Ashgabat. Deputy Prime Minister Charymyrat Purchekov reported on the preparations for its opening at a Government meeting on Thursday, the Neutral Turkmenistan newspaper reports today.
According to the Deputy Prime Minister, at the moment, construction and installation implemented in the Center entered the final stage.Administrative and production buildings built here, the main equipment installed in the workshops.
Specialists of this establishment have already completed an internship in foreign countries in order to learn the skills of appropriate repair and maintenance of new technological installations.
Purchekov stressed that commissioning of this enterprise will help establishing equipment for power plants operating in the state, save time and train qualified Turkmen specialists.
After reviewing the information provided, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov instructed the Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers to ensure strict monitoring of the entire completion of construction according to the scheduled dates and the opening ceremony of this establishment of the electric power industry at a high organizational level.
This will be the first gas turbine service Center in Turkmenistan. Currently, General Electric provides maintenance of gas turbines of various capacities in the country.
