The first day of the XV International Online Conference on Telecommunications, Telemetry, Information Technologies and Broadcasting Equipment in Ashgabat summed up the results.
Today's program included 2 sessions, during which Turkmen and foreign experts in the field of information and communication technologies (ITC), heads of international organizations and large companies spoke.
During the plenary session “Development of information and communication technologies - a key factor in the digitalization of the socio-economic sphere of Turkmenistan” the issues of regional and international cooperation and attraction of foreign direct investment in the ICT sector of Turkmenistan were considered. This session was led by the President and Executive Director of SSI-MonacoSat, Ilgami Aygun.
The second part of the conference “New Satellite Technologies and Applications” was chaired by Mesut Chicheker, Chief Advisor to the President and CEO of SSI-MonacoSat.
During the session, it was discussed that the first Turkmen satellite TurkmenAlem 52E had passed half of its service life. In this regard, new satellite technologies and applications available to Turkmenistan and their socio-economic benefits were considered.
On November 11, the work of the conference will continue. Issues related to the development of mobile communications and cybersecurity will be considered.
