The first dry cargo ships in 2024 arrived at the seaport of Turkmenbashy

On January 11, at the Turkmenbashy International Sea Port, the bulk carrier Türkmenistan with cargo from Baku moored to the pier of the container terminal. Following him, the cargo ship Magtymguly arrived with containers on board. These are the first shuttle flights of dry cargo ships in 2024, reports the “Neutral Turkmenistan” newspaper.

Last year, teams of dry cargo ships made a worthy contribution to the successful implementation of the production program of the national sea carrier of Turkmenistan - the Closed Joint Stock Company “Marine Merchant Fleet”.

Existing routes connect Turkmenbashy with Astrakhan, Aktau, Makhachkala, Baku, Enzeli, Naushekhr, Bender-Turkmen and other Caspian ports.

We previously reported that in 2023, ships of the merchant marine fleet of Turkmenistan transported more than two million tons of cargo.
