In accordance with the relevant Decree of President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, a delegation of Turkmenistan headed by Cabinet Deputy Chairman S.Berdimuhamedov is in the capital of Japan Tokyo to take part in the official Opening Ceremony of the XXXII Summer Olympic Games.
The participation of Turkmen athletes in the XXXII Summer Olympic Games is another evidence of the active development of Turkmen-Japanese cooperation in the field of sports.In recent years, as a result of the efforts of the national Leader throughout the country, modern sports and recreation complexes and multifunctional stadiums have been built in cities and villages, which have the necessary conditions for training and international competitions in various sports.
All these forms a reliable basis for high-quality training of Turkmen athletes and their participation in world-class competitions.
Along with the affirmation of the principles of a healthy lifestyle and high spirit in society, the comprehensive development of various sports and the promotion of the physical culture and health movement, great attention is paid to the training of high-level athletes and coaches, as well as qualified specialists.
For the first time in the history of national sports, Secretary General of the Weightlifting Federation of Turkmenistan Charygeldy Mammedov was granted the right to referee weightlifting competitions at the Olympic Games - a clear result of President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov's constant concern for the development of Turkmen sports and the training of athletes and coaches of international level.
It should also be noted the participation of Ch.Mammedov as a judge in the world championships, Asia and other international weightlifting competitions, which is another confirmation of the full compliance of the level of training of specialists in the country's sports sphere with high international standards.
Our people, who wish the Turkmen athletes participating in the XXXII Summer Olympic Games to adequately represent Independent Neutral Turkmenistan, are confident that, having successfully performed in prestigious competitions, they will win high awards, and thereby make a great contribution to increasing the prestige of Turkmenistan in the world sports space.
