The Governor of Saint Petersburg visited a complex of antimud slide protection facilities in Ashgabat

The Governor of Saint Petersburg, Alexander Beglov, during his official visit to Turkmenistan has visited a complex of antimud slide protection facilities in Ashgabat.

Currently, the construction of the complex, which was carried out by the St. Petersburg holding “Vozrozhdenie” in the southern part of Ashgabat, is being completed, the newscentralasia website reports.

Beglov got acquainted with the principle of operation of the pumping station, examined the section of the drainage channel.

As Beglov noted, the experience of St. Petersburg turned out to be in demand in Turkmenistan, which has been subjected to large-scale floods since its foundation.

Let’s remind that the complex construction works started in March 2020. The complex consists of 9 mudflow collectors on the way of the main mudflow channels of the Kopetdag foothills.

This year, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov got acquainted with the new projects of the Russian holding. The Head of Design and Construction Companies of “Vozrozhdenie” Group, Igor Bukato, reported on execution of earlier given instructions of the head of state regarding the construction project and location drawings of the automobile section of the NorthSouth transport corridor.
