The head of Russian Railways Logistics highly appreciated the maritime infrastructure of Turkmenistan

General Director of JSC Russian Railways Logistics Dmitry Murev visited the Turkmenbashy International Seaport as part of a representative delegation of JSC Russian Railways (Russian Railways) and highly appreciated the infrastructure of the sea harbor, writes SNG.Today.

According to Murev, the port of Turkmenbashy was built using the most modern technologies and has great potential for transporting goods between Russia and Turkmenistan, as well as in the direction of third countries. The operation of the port will provide an opportunity to attract additional volumes of cargo.

Murev examined the port's operating technologies with professional interest and discussed with the management the promising volumes of cargo transportation and the interaction of sea transport with railway transport. He emphasized the importance of synchronized operation of all modes of transport, on which the quality and reliability of multimodal logistics solutions for customers depends.

The head of Russian Railways Logistics noted the great potential of the North-South International Transport Corridor for cargo transportation between the countries of East and Central Asia and the Middle East. According to him, the cargo terminals of Turkmenistan are ready for active work within this corridor.
