1.Rustam Minnikhanov arrived on a working visit to Turkmenistan.At the Ashgabat airport, the head of the Republic of Tatarstan was met by the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan Berdyniyaz Myatiev and Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Russia to Turkmenistan Alexander Blokhin.
Within the framework of the visit, Rustam Minnikhanov will take part in a meeting of the Turkmen-Russian business forum, in the laying ceremony of the main mosque of the Ahal velayat in the city of Arkadag, and will also visit the service center of “KAMAZ” PJSC in Ashgabat.

3.In Rome, negotiations between the Ambassador of Turkmenistan to Italy, Toyly Komekov, with the General Director of the publishing house Sandro Teti and Professor Federico De Renzi, Turkologist were held.
The purpose of the meeting was to discuss the project of translating the poems of the classic of Turkmen literature Magtymguly Fragi into Italian and publishing a book that will be the first edition of the poet's work in Italian.

Ashgabat hosted a meeting between the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan Rashid Meredov and Archbishop Theophylact, the administrator of the parishes of the Patriarchal Deanery in Turkmenistan. 5. The Federal State Statistics Service of Russia published the results of the 2021 census before the start of the New Year holidays. As the census showed, over the past 10 years the number of Turkmens in Russia has increased by 4,453 people, or by 12,1%. 35,584 people named Turkmen as their native language.
6.In the capital of Turkmenistan, on the occasion of the joint meeting of the chambers of the Milli Gengesh, city buses were decorated with inscriptions promoting the upcoming event.
On the white sides of city buses, bright green inscriptions are visible from afar: “Döwletliniň ugran işi oň bolar!and Döwletli maslahat oň bolsun!Let us remind that a joint meeting of the chambers of the Milli Gengesh of Turkmenistan with the participation of members of the public will be held on January 21, 2023 at the Maslahat Palace in Ashgabat.
7.January 18 marks the 80th anniversary of the breaking of the blockade of Leningrad.On this day, the troops of the Leningrad and Volkhov fronts of the Red Army, after almost a week of artillery preparation, were able to make a hole in the dense ring of fascist troops surrounding the city.
Today, two heroines of those tragic events, Galina Mamedova and Maria Avanesova, live in the capital of Turkmenistan.Galina Mamedova was born in Leningrad in 1943.She moved to Ashgabat in 1964.
Maria Avanesova, in August 1942 was evacuated from Leningrad.She has been living in Ashgabat since 1954.
8. “Sochi” won a crushing victory in the debut match under the leadership of Kurban Berdyev. “Sochi” defeated the Taganrog “Forte” in the control match at the first winter training camp.
The teams played at the “Fisht” stadium.The confrontation ended with a score of 5:1 in favor of Kurban Berdyev's team.Let us remind that “Sochi” went on a winter break, being on the ninth line in the RPL standings, gaining 25 points in 17 matches.

9.Turkmenistan became a co-founder of the Association for the Development of Ice Hockey of Islamic Countries.At the international hockey forum of the first tournament among Islamic countries Kazan Hockey Cup, the first meeting of the working group of the Association for the Development of Hockey of Islamic Countries was held.
Delegates from 13 countries agreed on cooperation and interaction in the development of hockey, organization of joint sports tournaments, exchange of experience between federations.
10.Tennis players from Turkmenistan Ilima Guseynova, as well as Imran Ahundov and Selim Chagylov became silver medalists of the first qualifying tournament of the Central and Western Asian Championship among players under 14 years old.
Competitions, consisting of two qualifying stages, are held in the city of Isa Town in Bahrain with the participation of representatives of 8 countries.Ilima Guseynova was second in singles, while Imran Ahundov and Selim Chagylov achieved the same result in doubles.
