The head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan and the Minister for Petroleum of Pakistan discussed partnership in the energy sector

Today, Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan Rashid Meredov met with the State Minister for Petroleum of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan Musadiq Masood Malik.

As reports the Turkmen Foreign Ministry, the parties discussed partnership in the energy sector. The possibilities of further promotion of the implementation of such strategically important projects as the Turkmenistan-Afghanistan-Pakistan-India (TAPI) transnational gas pipeline, power lines and fiber optic communication along the Turkmenistan-Afghanistan-Pakistan (TAP) route were considered.

Musadiq Masood Malik noted that the leadership of Pakistan supports these projects, which are of great importance both for each of the parties involved and for the region as a whole.

Let us remind that yesterday the State Minister for Petroleum was received by President Serdar Berdimuhamedov.
