On November 20, Charge d'Affaires of the UAE Embassy in Turkmenistan, Mr. Abdulaziz Al-Hashemi, held a meeting with students of the Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan and met with students.
During the meeting, the Ambassador spoke in detail about the upcoming World Expo 2020 in Dubai, which, as it’s known, is postponed to next year and will be held from October 2021 to March 2022.
According to Mr.Al-Hashemi, the world exhibition will help bring together representatives of the world community in a spirit of cooperation and innovation.Expo 2020 in Dubai will serve as an effective platform for establishing new contacts, exchanging experience in various fields, expanding the geography of mutually beneficial cooperation with foreign partners.
Turkmenistan is preparing to present its exposition at the Expo under the slogan “Uniting Minds, Creating the Future”. Turkmenistan and the UAE strive to forge partnerships and implement ideas that will form the basis for tomorrow, with its capabilities, mobility and sustainability.
Turkmenistan and the UAE intend to strengthen the existing partnership and establish new relationships.Mr.Al-Hashemi emphasized that the participation in Expo 2020 in Dubai will give Turkmenistan the opportunity to demonstrate to the world community the country's achievements, get acquainted with targeted programs for the development of various sectors of the economy and contribute to the promotion of domestic technologies, scientific developments, goods and services to the world market.
The diplomat, in particular, said: “Our leadership has spared no effort, guided us, and provided all resources to ensure that our World Expo will be a true expression of the UAE’s values, reflecting its ambition to build a better future for us, the region and the world a future of which coming generations will be proud”.
During the meeting, Mr. Abdulaziz Al-Hashemi took part in the discussion and answered a number of questions from students - future diplomats of Turkmenistan.
In the hall of the Institute, the UAE Embassy organized a photo exhibition dedicated to Expo 2020 Dubai, where the architecture of the pavilions of Turkmenistan and the UAE were demonstrated. At the end of the meeting, the diplomat presented gifts to the students of the institute.
