The Hermès heir wants to adopt the 51-year-old gardener to leave him his billions

80-year-old billionaire Nicolas Puech, a descendant of the founder of the Hermès fashion house, wants to adopt his 51-year-old gardener to pass on his fortune to him. Pravilamag.ru reports this with reference to La Tribune.

Puech owns approximately 5-6% of Hermès shares, which are valued at 11.4 billion USD.He has neither a wife nor children. In 2011, he signed a succession agreement with the Geneva-based Isocrates foundation, which fights disinformation.

However, now the billionaire has changed his mind and decided to transfer the fortune to his Moroccan gardener, who is married and has two children.

A billionaire cannot simply terminate the contract with the Isocrates fund unilaterally. Therefore, he turned to lawyers who offered to register the gardener as the adopted son of a businessman.

Adopting an adult in Switzerland is extremely difficult from a legal point of view, but theoretically it is possible. If the adoption is successful, the gardener will receive at least half of the billionaire's fortune.

Puech has already given the potential heir the keys to his house in Morocco and a villa in Switzerland. The total cost of this property is 5.9 million USD.
