A bright creative forum brought together folklore and choreographic groups from 8 foreign countries in the Turkmen land. The host of the festival - Turkmenistan was represented by ethnographic groups and dance ensembles of the capital and all regions of the country.

Numerous forum events, including a scientific and practical conference, an exhibition, creative meetings, master classes, concerts and excursions, were filled with an atmosphere of friendship. The fusion of different cultures at the festival site helped each nation to tell the language of dance about their history, culture, customs, traditions, identity and unique features.

Despite the difference in languages, cultures, the work of groups in different dance directions, in Avaza they united for the sake of creativity and in the name of art.

The solemn ceremony and the concert of friendship took place in the evening on the open stage already familiar to all participants of the festival, on the Caspian coast.

The participants of the festival were awarded diplomas. They spoke in favor of continuing close fruitful cooperation and thanked the organizers for the warm welcome.

The participants adopted a thankful Address to the President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov, the initiator of the creative forum.

Then a joint performance of all groups in a literary and musical composition unfolded on the stage. Bright costumes, ancient instruments, music and dances of different peoples leading back centuries created a feeling of a great celebration of peace and brotherhood.

Replacing each other, Indian dancers and the Tajik ensemble "Lola", Kazakh folklore groups "Zhorga" and "Aktau Sazy" and the Romanian "Transylvania", the Tatarstan group "Rivayat" and the Iranian "Zendegi Mazandaran", members of the ensemble of the School of Culture , arts and tourism of the Chinese province of Xinhai and the Uzbek folk song and dance ensembles "Parvoz" and "Bogdon".

The performances of foreign groups were completed by the “Celebratory” dance of the Russian “Ogonyok”.

Turkmen regional folklore groups demonstrated the diversity and originality of festive rituals, an integral part of which are national dances. So, for example, a team from the Lebap velayat presented a festive ceremony on the occasion of the appearance of the first tooth in a child.

The Dashoguz group showed a composition based on the Gorogly destan. The audience applauded the incendiary dance of the young men of the combined ensemble.

The concert program clearly traced the common origins of folk art, and most importantly, its peace-making, creative basis.

The final chord of the concert was the joint performance by artists from different countries of the dance "Kushtdepdi" - a choreographic pearl of world culture, born in ancient times on the Turkmen coast of the Caspian Sea.

To perform the dance of other peoples, it is not necessary to speak their language.Through movement and choreographic vocabulary, plasticity and artistry, with the help of their talent, teams from different countries were able to feel and convey to the viewer the essence of the Turkmen dance performed in the name of friendship.

The Avaza-2023 International Dance and Folklore Festival has become one of the brightest events in the cultural life of Turkmenistan.
