The International Scientific Conference on Health, Education and Sports is being held in Ashgabat

Within the framework of the International Exhibition “Healthcare, Education and Sports in the Renaissance Era of a New Age of a Powerful State”, - which is taking place these days in Ashgabat, an International Scientific Conference has been organized.

The scientific forum, which is held in a hybrid format, is attended by eminent scientists, professors, doctors of science, representatives of the fields of health, education and sports from a number of foreign countries.

Having congratulated their Turkmen colleagues on their professional holiday, the guests highly appreciated the achievements of the healthcare of sovereign Turkmenistan, which meets the standards of the World Health Organization, and the important international initiatives put forward by the head of state.

In this regard, new approaches were identified aimed at enhancing international cooperation in the field of healthcare and combining efforts in developing consolidated, mutually agreed upon responses to the global challenges of our time.

The reports of the speakers noted that among the main tasks of modernizing the healthcare sector and medical industry of Turkmenistan are popularizing the principles of a healthy lifestyle, improving methods of providing primary medical care, developing the institute of family doctors, improving the quality and expanding the range of medical services provided to the population, including medical and sanatorium and resort institutions, strengthening the material and technical support of specialized institutions, the relationship of medical science and practice, improving the qualifications of medical workers, improving the legislative framework for healthcare, etc.

As emphasized in the speeches, established regular contacts and exchange of experience with leading specialists from Europe and Asia are a significant contribution to solving global problems of protecting human health.

The priorities of a long-term productive partnership in this regard remain the implementation of joint projects and programs, the introduction of the latest technologies and equipment, advanced methods of prevention, diagnosis and treatment of various diseases.

The international forum will continue until October 12 in 15 sections, which will be held in the largest institutions of the Ministry of Health and Medical Industry - the Hospital with the Scientific and Clinical Center for Cardiology, the Directorate of Infectious Disease Centers, the Scientific and Clinical Center for Maternal and Child Health, the Health House of the city of Arkadag, the Multidisciplinary hospital in the city of Arkadag, the Emergency Ambulance Center, the Center for Public Health and Nutrition and in higher educational institutions of the capital.

Participants will discuss a wide range of issues at thematic sessions - “Prevention and control of non-communicable diseases”, “Prevention and control of infectious diseases”, “Maternal and child health”, “Surgical diseases”, “Public health and epidemiology”, “Digital medicine”, “Genomic medicine”.

There will also be an exchange of experience in the field of maternal and child health. Issues related to the prospects for the comprehensive development and modernization of the national healthcare system will be considered, including through the introduction of innovative technologies, best practices and the latest developments in world medicine.

One of the current topics of discussion will be the creation of all conditions for the harmonious physical and spiritual development of the younger generation, their receipt of modern education, upbringing, and meaningful leisure, which is the main component of bringing the national educational system to the level of developed countries, reports the newspaper “Neutral Turkmenistan”.
