The Kazakhstan national team beat Northern Ireland in the qualification for Euro 2024 football

The Kazakhstan national football team defeated the Northern Ireland team with a score of 1:0 in the sixth round match of the qualifying tournament for the 2024 European Championship, reports TASS.

The only goal was scored by 21 years old striker Maksim Samorodov.

The Kazakhstan team scored 12 points after 6 matches and took second place in the group “H” standings. The first place is taken by the Finnish team, the Danish team is in third place, followed by the teams of Slovenia, Northern Ireland and San Marino.

In the next round, the Kazakhstan national team will play away against the Danes, and the Northern Ireland team will host players from “San Marino”. The meetings will be on October 14.

The 2024 European Championship will be held in Germany. The top two teams from each qualifying group qualify for the tournament. The remaining participants in the tournament will be determined based on the results of the Nations League playoffs.
