The Kremlin announced the visit of Berdimuhamedov to St. Petersburg

The Kremlin expects the participation of President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov in the traditional informal meeting of the leaders of the countries - members of the Commonwealth of Independent States, which will be held on December 28 in St. Petersburg.

According to the Kremlin press service, the event will also be attended by President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev, President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko, President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Zhomart Tokayev, first President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev, President of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Japarov, President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon, President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev and Prime Minister of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan.

Press Secretary of the President of the Russian Federation Dmitry Peskov said that the informal CIS summit will be held in person.

Usually the summit of the heads of the CIS states is held once a year. Next year, the summit will be held in October in Kazakhstan. But in addition to the regular official summit, informal meetings of heads of state are also held.
