Yesterday, the meeting of the President of Turkmenistan, Chairman of the Halk Maslakhaty Milli Gengesh Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov with members of the Halk Maslakhaty of the first convocation, deputies of the Mejlis took place in the building of the Administration of the Halk Maslakhaty.
During the meeting, the priority tasks facing the parliamentarians at the next stage of development of the independent Turkmen state were identified and discussed.Activities for the legislative support of strategic state programs and progressive democratic reforms are in the field of close attention of the leader of the nation.
One of the evidences of this is the traditional meetings of the head of state with representatives of the legislative body of Turkmenistan, during which an assessment of their work is given, a program of actions for the near future is determined, taking into account the urgent tasks facing the country.
In the historic keynote speech of President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov at the meeting of the Halk Maslakhaty of Milli Gengesh held on February 11, the need to further improve the powers of the Halk Maslakhaty of Milli Gengesh and the Mejlis of Milli Gengesh of Turkmenistan was noted.
Addressing the audience, the leader of the nation emphasized the importance of the current meeting, held on the first day of spring of the year “The era of the people with Arkadag”, marked by festive events celebrated in an atmosphere of high spiritual upsurge.
As President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov noted, the purpose of this meeting is to increase our successes and legislatively consolidate the forthcoming grandiose deeds and achievements of the country.At the meeting of the Halk Maslakhaty of the Milli Gengesh of Turkmenistan, held on February 11 this year with the participation of representatives of the people, the leader of the nation continued, we, following the wise traditions of glorious ancestors and the democratic principles of our society, summed up the development of the state from the moment we entered the path of sovereignty, which has become for our people decisive, fateful and historic event.
We noted the successes and achievements of the country over the years of independence, the implemented large-scale social, political and economic reforms carried out during the Renaissance and great transformations, in the era of power and happiness, and also discussed important issues related to state and public life, the vital interests of our people.
Realizing the great responsibility for the fate of the sovereign Motherland and the future of future generations, in order to determine the main directions for the development of an independent state and its institutions in the next 30 years, we adopted the Program "Revival of a new era of a powerful state: the National program for the socio-economic development of Turkmenistan in 2022-2052" .
We also adopted the "Program of the country's socio-economic development in 2022", "The Investment Program of Turkmenistan for 2022".We called the forthcoming period of development of our Motherland, steadily advancing to new heights for the sake of the bright future of our people, the Revival of a new era of a powerful state, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov said.
In this context, the head of state drew attention to the tasks and plan of activities of the members of the Halk Maslakhaty and deputies of the Mejlis Milli Gengesh of Turkmenistan in 2022, which are on the agenda of the current meeting, held taking into account the national principles of statehood, originating from the early periods of the glorious history of the country .
President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov recalled that the current year was marked by an important date in the history of our independent state - the 30th anniversary of the adoption of the Constitution of Turkmenistan, as well as the establishment of the State Flag.
As the leader of the nation emphasized, the Constitution of Turkmenistan and the State flag are national pride.Worship of these shrines of the state elevate the feeling of patriotism, the desire for creativity, and labor enthusiasm in the citizens of the country.
The Constitution is a legal guarantee of our free, calm, peaceful and happy life, the leader of the nation continued.The Constitution defines the foundations for the development of our society and a democratic legal secular state, the rights, freedoms and duties of a person and citizen, a perfect system of government and administration.
Taking into account the fundamental principles and norms of the Constitution, hundreds of laws, codes, and resolutions have been adopted.Guided by the goals of the development of our society, the requirements of the modern era, the best world experience, constitutional, socio-economic, socio-political transformations have been carried out.
