As you become your country’s third President, I wish a joyful and prosperous Nowruz to you, your family, and the people of Turkmenistan. On this day of peace and renewal, many people in the United States and around the world join you in celebrating this wonderful holiday.
This year the United States and Turkmenistan celebrate 30 years of diplomatic relations. My Administration looks forward to continuing our work with your country to address our shared goals on security, ensuring Afghanistan is not a safe haven for terrorists, reducing methane emissions, and also to advance our economic cooperation and develop Caspian energy.
I look forward to further strengthening ties between our countries in the year ahead. Nowruz bayramynyz gutly bolsun!
