1.On December 15, the lights on the main New Year tree of Turkmenistan, installed on the square of the “Alem” cultural and entertainment center, will be lit.
This traditional New Year's event will mark the beginning of the festive season in the country.After the ceremony, decorated New Year trees will shine in other cities of all velayats of Turkmenistan.
For the first time, the main Christmas tree in the city of national importance Arkadag will also light its lights.

3.Within the framework of the year “Anau - the cultural capital of the Turkic world - 2024”, a number of forums, festivals and conferences are planned in Turkmenistan with the participation of cultural and artistic figures, scientists, journalists and representatives of the tourism industry of the countries of the Turkic world.
The purpose of large-scale events is to strengthen international cooperation in the field of culture and art, as well as to popularize the rich historical and cultural heritage of the ancient city of Anau.
4.The International Mathematical Olympiad RUDN MathOlimp ended in Moscow, in which 1st-4th year students from 30 higher educational institutions in 11 countries took part.In the individual competition, Turkmen students won 6 gold, 10 silver and 4 bronze medals.
In the team competition, the teams of the Magtymguly Turkmen State University, the International University of Humanities and Development and the Turkmen State Energy Institute took third place and were awarded bronze medals.
5. A new gas station, designed to service 1500 cars per day, opened in Ashgabat. The new gas station has the capabilities of a multifunctional service complex and is equipped with modern fuel dispensing, computer and technological equipment, the source notes.

7.The “Pizzeria of Horrors” festival was held in Naples, where pizzas with unusual toppings were presented.At the festival, you could try pizza with reptile meat from Hong Kong, crickets and beetles from Southeast Asia, kangaroo and ostrich meat from Australia, pineapple and macaroni and cheese from the USA, and cod with boiled eggs from Portugal.

At the decisive stage, 24 teams competed for men and 8 for women.Today, in the overall FIBA 3x3 basketball ranking, Turkmenistan ranks 33rd out of 150 countries.
10.Turkmen athlete Anamdjan Rustamova won a silver medal at the Grand Prix weightlifting tournament in Doha, which is a qualifier for the Olympic Games in Paris.She achieved this success in the weight category up to 87 kg.
In the double event, Rustamova lifted 231 kg.Previously, representatives of Turkmenistan won three medals at the tournament.Shahzadbek Matyakubov won a gold medal, and Bunyad Rashidov and Gaygysyz Torayev were awarded bronze medals.
