The ceremony of lighting the on the main New Year tree of the country, traditionally preceding the events in honor of the arrival of the New Year holiday, took place in the Turkmen capital yesterday.
The green beauty, crowned with an eight-pointed star and the numbers 2022, is installed in the center of a fabulous town, arranged on the square in front of the Älem Cultural and Entertainment Center, where New Year's celebrations are held annually.
The height of the country's main Christmas tree, dressed in a sparkling robe of numerous crystal snowflakes, colorful balls and lanterns, beads, tinsel, LED garlands, is 38 and a half meters, its diameter is 16 meters.
By the way, in recent years, the central New Year tree of Ashgabat ranked first in the rating as the highest among the New Year trees in the capital cities of the CIS countries.
