As the Chinese Foreign Minister noticed, over the past few years, the United States has actually stopped bilateral dialogue. The diplomat also noted that the Chinese authorities are ready to frankly communicate with the American side for decision making global world problems.
The minister called the recent telephone conversation between Chinese President Xi Jinping and US President Joe Biden to be one of the first positive steps in this direction.
Yang Jiechi, Director of the Office of the Central Commission for Foreign Affairs, also expressed hope that the new head of the White House and his team will choose the path of mutually beneficial cooperation and elimination of discrepancies in relations with China, assuring the United States that his country does not intend to dispute or replace the US position in the world.
