The national futsal team of Turkmenistan has begun preparations for the Asian Cup 2022 qualification matches, which will be held from April 10 to 12 in Bishkek (Kyrgyzstan). Reports "Turkmenistan: Golden Age" on its website with reference to the Football Federation of Turkmenistan.
For the training camp, which will end in Ashgabat on February 19, 17 futsal players from eight clubs of the national Superleague “Denizchi”, “Gumrukchi”, “Kopetdag”, “Senagatbank”, “Serkhetchi”, “Migration” were called to the main team of the country, "Milli goshun" and the teams of the TOPC.
The national team of Turkmenistan holds two training sessions every day in the Olympic village.
In the qualifying tournament of the Asian Cup-2022 Futsal, 30 teams will compete, divided by geographic area into 4 zones.
According to the results of the draw, the national team of Turkmenistan was in group "A" in the combined Central and Southern zone of the qualifying tournament of the Asian Cup-2022.
The rivals of the Turkmen team will be the teams of Iran, Kyrgyzstan and the Republic of Maldives.The other group "B" consisted of: Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, Afghanistan and Nepal.
The Kyrgyzstan-Turkmenistan game will take place on April 10, Turkmenistan-Iran on April 11, and the Turkmenistan-Maldives game is scheduled for April 12.
The top two teams from each group will advance to the finals.
The final tournament of the Asian Cup-2022, in which 16 strongest futsal national teams of the confederation will perform, will be held from September 25 to October 20 in Kuwait.
