In connection with the death of people during avalanches in the Gorno-Badakhshan region of Tajikistan, a telegram of condolences addressed to President Emomali Rahmon was sent by the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov. This was announced by the news program “Watan” of the Turkmen television.

On February 15, several avalanches came down at once in the Gorno-Badakhshan region and in the Varzob region of Tajikistan.Rescuers have been on the scene for two days.
They managed to rescue 12 people alive from under the snow blockages, including two small children.Another student is still being sought.To date, the number of deaths due to avalanches in Tajikistan has reached 18 people, notes “MIR 24”.
