The Ashgabat team became the winner of the men's handball championship of Turkmenistan, which was held at the site of the Turkmen State Institute of Physical Education and Sports.
According to the newspaper “Neutral Turkmenistan”, six teams took part in the competition: teams from Ashgabat, Balkan, Dashoguz, Lebap, Mary velayats, as well as the “Ashgabat-2” team.
The Ashgabat team is a multiple champion of the country, its coach is Bayramgeldi Chulumbayev. Under his leadership, Ashgabat handball players held the tournament without a single misfire - they won five out of five possible victories.
