The state information agency TDH reports that on 16 December, in the course of the second convention of Turkmenistan’s Party of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs Saparmyrat Ovganov was elected the new Chairperson of the party.
Ovganov is the CEO of the business entity “Khalys”. He has replaced Ovezmammed Mammedov as the chairperson.
Turkmenistan’s Party of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs was established in 2012 as part of the Presidential focus on democratization and establishment of the multi-party system, TDH reports.
The candidate from the Party of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs Bekmyrat Atalyev won 11390 (0,36%) of votes in the Presidential elections in 2017.
Let us recall that on 4 December the party election campaigns for the Parliamentary elections, which are scheduled to be held on 25 March 2018, kicked off.
