The new Consul General of Turkmenistan has taken up his duties in Kazan

The new Consul General of Turkmenistan Guych Garayev has taken up his duties in Kazan. Today he met with the President of the Republic of Tatarstan of the Russian Federation Rustam Minnikhanov.

As the press-service of the head of Tatarstan reports, during the meeting, which was held at the Government House of the Tatarstan Republic, the sides discussed issues of further cooperation and other relevant topics.

Minnikhanov noted that Tatarstan and Turkmenistan have a lot of common interests, and the activities of the Consulate General is directed at strengthening of mutually beneficial ties and contacts.

The President of the Republic of Tatarstan wished the Consul General a good work in the capital of Tatarstan.

Guych Garayev replaced Atadurdy Bayramov as Consul General in Kazan, who was appointed Ambassador of Turkmenistan to Japan in July this year.

Earlier, since May 2020, Guych Garayev held the post of Consul of Turkmenistan in the Russian Federation (Astrakhan).
