The new Japanese Ambassador to Ashgabat presented copies of his credentials to the Foreign Minister of Turkmenistan

The newly appointed Japanese Ambassador to Turkmenistan Sasaki Hiroshi presented copies of his credentials to the country's Foreign Minister Rashid Meredov, reports the press service of the Turkmen Foreign Ministry.

During the meeting, the parties discussed important issues of bilateral cooperation and exchanged views on the prospects for further partnership in priority areas.

Diplomats emphasized the importance of developing trade and economic relations. Priorities for further cooperation were identified in the fields of energy, transport and communications, industry, agriculture, environmental protection, as well as culture, science, education, in particular, the study of the Japanese language in Turkmenistan.
