1.The readiness of the President of the Republic of Iraq to pay an official visit to Turkmenistan in the near future was noted during a meeting in Baghdad between the Prime Minister of this country, Mohammed Shia al-Sudani, and the Turkmen delegation, which was headed by the Minister of State, Chairman of the “Turkmengas” State Concern Maksat Babayev.
It was noted that at the meeting, the head of the Iraqi government noted the readiness and desire of his country to develop comprehensive and mutually beneficial relations with Turkmenistan, where the energy component will become one of the main areas of bilateral partnership interaction.
Let us remind that during negotiations with the Minister of Electricity, Ziad Ali Fadel, the parties signed a Memorandum of Understanding between the State Concern “Turkmengas” and the Ministry of Electricity of the Republic of Iraq.
In addition, it was reported that Iraq is ready to annually accept Turkmen natural gas in the amount of about 10 billion cubic meters.
2.The 40th meeting of the Permanent Council of Ministers of Culture of the Turkic International Cultural Organization TURKSOY will be held on October 13-14.According to the accepted procedure, the work done by TURKSOY will be discussed at the meeting, tasks for 2024 will be identified and appropriate decisions will be made.
One of the important decisions that will be made at the meeting will be the transfer of the “Cultural Capital of the Turkic World” to Anau.
3.The final round of the competition among embroiderers was held in Ashgabat, in which craftswomen from all over Turkmenistan took part.The competition was held in three categories: preparatory part of the work, choice of pattern, demonstration of finished embroidered products.
The jury assessed every detail, down to the position of the fabric on the knees and the ability to hold the needle correctly.As a result, the Grand Prix of the competition was won by craftswomen from Ahal velayat.
4.Representatives of Turkmenistan participated in the 6th international transport and logistics business forum New Silk Way, held in Astana.Deputy General Director of the Agency of Transport and Communications Batyr Annayev spoke about the development and modernization of transport communications in the country.
It was noted that Turkmenistan, having established cargo flights to Vietnam, the Republic of Korea and Italy, plans to expand air traffic with the countries of Asia and Europe.
5.This year, 13 new countries took part in the meeting of the General Assembly Prix Italia 2023, among which was Turkmenistan, in particular a delegation led by the Deputy Chairman of the State Committee of Turkmenistan for Television, Radio Broadcasting and Cinematography.
