The President of Turkmenistan arrived in Baku to participate in the summit of the Non-Aligned Movement

President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov arrived in Baku this morning on a visit to participate in the summit of the Contact Group of the Non-Aligned Movement on Combating COVID-19, which will be held on March 2 in the capital of Azerbaijan.

According to Azerbaijani media, at the Heydar Aliyev International Airport, where the state flags of both countries fluttered, a guard of honor was lined up in honor of the distinguished guest.

The First Deputy Prime Minister of Azerbaijan Yagub Eyyubov, Deputy Foreign Minister Khalaf Khalafov and other officials met the head of Turkmenistan.

The Non-Aligned Movement (NAM) is an international organization established in 1961 and uniting 120 states of the world on the principles of non-participation in military blocs. Azerbaijan has chaired the NAM since 2019.
