President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov held a working meeting in digital format with the participation of Deputy Prime Minister T. Atahalliyev, who oversees the agricultural industry, and velayat hyakims. The agenda included the progress of seasonal agricultural campaigns in the regions of the country, writes TDH.
As noted, the cotton sowing campaign and vegetation irrigation continue in the agricultural regions of the country. In the fields where seedlings have appeared, inter-row cultivation, thinning and weeding are carried out. Particular attention is paid to the efficient use of agricultural machinery and equipment.
In the fields of the regions, wheat crops are cared for. In parallel, the necessary measures are being taken to prepare for the harvest - receiving points, elevators, combine harvesters and vehicles for transporting grain.
In order to ensure food abundance in the country and increase the volume of potatoes and vegetable and melon crops grown, planting and caring for crops continues in the agricultural lands of the velayats in accordance with agrotechnical standards.
To increase the production of cocoons and organize this campaign, silkworm care is currently continuing in the regions of the country.
After listening to the report, Head of State Serdar Berdimuhamedov emphasized the importance of carrying out current agricultural work in the fields of the velayats at the proper level, in particular sowing cotton, proper and timely care of wheat.
Instructions were also given to ensure constant control over the care of winter crops.
