Yesterday President of Turkmenistan, Supreme Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of the country general Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov held a working meeting with Minister of Defence B.Gundogdyev in which course the important issues facing military structures, and also the organised holding of military parade on the occasion of the 30th anniversary of the state independence of Turkmenistan were discussed.
Minister of Defence B.Gundogdyev reported on the state of affairs in the departments he supervises and also on the military reforms directed to further strengthening of defensibility of the country, improvement office and living conditions of military men.
The detailed report on conducted preparation for celebrating of anniversary of independence of Turkmenistan sounded.For consideration of the head of the state the plan of the solemn military parade to be held on the occasion of a significant date was presented.
Having heard the report, President of Turkmenistan, Supreme Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of the country general Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov underlined that perfection of activity of military structures acts as the major aspect of reforms held in armies.
Thus the leader of the nation noted that the state attaches special significance to modernisation of material base of all combat arms.Proceeding from the Military doctrine having especially defensive character, this work will be continued further.
According to the priorities facing the Armed forces of the country, it is necessary to take regularly the measures directed to the strengthening the power and defensibility of National army, increase fighting and vocational training of serving all combat arms, observance of military discipline, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov told.
Having approved the offered plan of solemn military parade, the head of the state gave concrete commissions on its organised carrying out.During the meeting the President of Turkmenistan, Supreme Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of the country signed the Decree on assignment of military ranks to a number of military men, and also the Resolution according to which Provisions, description and sample of a breastplate of members of the State Security Council were approved.
The head of the state charged the Minister of Defence, together with profile structures, to provide a high level of the organisation of the festive parade on the occasion of the 30th anniversary of sacred independence of Fatherland.
