Esteemed President Serdar Berdimuhamedov held a working meeting on the digital system with the participation of the Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers in charge of the agro-industrial complex and the hyakims of the velayats on May 16, reports the State News Agency of Turkmenistan.
During the meeting, the hyakims reported on the pace of agricultural work carried out in the regions, the level of readiness for the grain harvest, and the steps taken to care for crops in cotton fields and the effective use of agricultural machinery and units.
Having familiarized himself with the information provided, the Esteemed President of Turkmenistan gave specific instructions to the responsible persons regarding seasonal campaigns conducted on the agricultural lands of the country, along with this, he instructed to carry out mutual settlements with producers of products for the harvest delivered in a timely manner.
The main emphasis at the meeting was made on the issues of providing the population with food and vegetable products. In this regard, the Esteemed President stressed that this is the most important requirement of today, for this it is necessary to take the most decisive measures to grow high yields of potatoes and vegetable and melon crops.
The State Commission for Grain Harvesting was established in Turkmenistan last week.
