The President of Turkmenistan ordered to keep compliance with agrotechnical standards under strict control

President Serdar Berdimuhamedov held a working meeting on the digital system with the participation of Deputy Prime Minister T. Atahalliyev, who oversees the agro-industrial complex, and the hyakims of the velayats, at which issues of agricultural development and the progress of seasonal field work in the country were discussed, TDH writes.

As reported, appropriate preparations are underway in the velayats for the start of cotton sowing, including agricultural machinery, units, and high-quality seeds.

In order to fulfill the assigned tasks of strengthening food abundance in the country, wheat is currently being cared for, fertilized with mineral fertilizers, and watered in accordance with agrotechnical standards.

At the same time, measures are being taken in the velayats to increase the production of potatoes, onions and other vegetable and melon crops. Sowing of spring crops continues on agricultural lands.

The necessary work is being carried out to develop the livestock industry, increase the number of livestock and increase its productivity. These days there is an organized lambing campaign for sheep and camels.

At the same time, in order to improve the supply of water to crop areas, steps are being taken to effectively use land and water resources, collect water in reservoirs and clean irrigation and drainage systems.

After listening to the report, the President of Turkmenistan focused on the importance of an integrated approach to achieving the assigned tasks to increase the volume of agricultural crop production. In this regard, the head of state instructed to keep under strict control the issues of compliance with agrotechnical standards when sowing cotton and caring for wheat.

Addressing the participants of the working meeting, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov once again focused on the fact that the important season - sowing of cotton - is beginning, and ordered to take all measures to carry out sowing of this valuable crop at a high organizational level in Ahal, Balkan, Lebap and Mary velayats from 20 March, in Dashoguz velayat - from March 27.

During the working meeting, its participants cordially congratulated the head of state on the anniversary of the assumption of office by the President of Turkmenistan and on the upcoming National Spring Holiday.
