1.On May 9, in Moscow, on Red Square, a military parade dedicated to the 78th anniversary of victory in the Great Patriotic War was held, in which President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov took part.
At the invitation of the head of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin, the presidents of Belarus, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Kazakhstan and the Prime Minister of Armenia arrived to participate in the parade.
The parade was attended by 10 thousand military and 125 pieces of equipment.After the end of the parade, the leaders of the states went to the Alexander Garden to lay flowers at the tomb of the Unknown Soldier.
2. The memory of those killed in the Great Patriotic War was also honored in Turkmenistan. The main celebrations took place on the territory of the memorial complex “People's Memory” in Ashgabat, where flowers were laid at the monuments erected in honor of the national Heroes who died a heroic death in the war of 1941-1945.
3.A solemn reception for veterans was held at the Embassy of the Russian Federation in Ashgabat.The event was attended by Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan Vepa Hajiyev, representatives of diplomatic missions accredited in the country, and the media.
As Vepa Hajiyev noted, veterans of the Great Patriotic War are treated with deep respect and great attention in Turkmenistan.
4.The first meeting of the Turkmen-Tajik Business Council was held on Monday in Dushanbe.The heads and representatives of the chambers of commerce and industry and other relevant structures of the two countries stressed that in Turkmenistan and Tajikistan, whose economies are developing on the principles of market relations, favorable legal, economic, financial and social conditions have been created for the effective and dynamic development of entrepreneurship.
5.The Minister of Education of Turkmenistan, Gurbangul Atayeva, took part in the annual World Education Forum, held in London from May 7 to 9.Within the framework of the forum, she participated in a briefing on the coordination of educational institutions, and also held a number of meetings on the exchange of experience in the field of educational management.
The World Education Forum is the largest event that brings together ministers of education from all over the world on one platform.This year, more than 100 ministers of education took part in its work.
