After signing the Convention on the legal status of the Caspian Sea on 12 August 2018 the Presidents took part in “the symbolic ceremony of releasing sturgeon species into their natural habitat”.
President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Narazbayev accompanied by Presidents of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev, Iran’s President Hassan Rouhani, Russia’s Vladimir Putin and Turkmenistan’s Gurbanguly Berdymukhammedov inspected a new object “Rock path” which stretches along the waterfront in Aktau and jointly released 500 species of sturgeon into the Sea.
The leaders of the countries also watched the dance and stage production inspired by oriental fairy tales, — the public fairs office of Akordy reports.
