The Prime Minister of Japan intends to meet with the President of Turkmenistan at EXPO 2025 in Osaka

Japanese Prime Minister Shigeru Ishiba announced plans to meet with Turkmen President Serdar Berdimuhamedov at the World Expo 2025 in Osaka. In his message to the Turkmen leader, Ishiba expressed hope for strengthening the strategic partnership between the two countries. The text of the message is cited by the State News Agency of Turkmenistan.

“Turkmenistan is an important strategic partner of Japan in building a free and open international order based on the rule of law.It is gratifying that cooperation between our countries is deepening in various fields, including economic, scientific, technical and cultural spheres.

I also look forward to meeting you during your visit to the World Expo 2025 Osaka next year”, - the statement said.

Ishiba also stressed the importance of the “Central Asia + Japan” Dialogue, which celebrated its 20th anniversary this year, as a platform for further strengthening bilateral relations.
