The project to strengthen the capacity of Turkmenistan to comply with the Paris Agreement was introduced

Recently, an introductory seminar on the project “Strengthening the capacity of Turkmenistan to comply with the Enhanced Transparency Framework under the Paris Agreement” was held in Ashgabat.

The project was approved by the Secretariat of the Global Environment Facility based on the concept presented by the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) and the Government of Turkmenistan.

According to the publication "Turkmenistan: Golden Age", FAO national consultant Nazar Allaberdiyev made a presentation at the seminar of national strategies and initiatives in the field of overcoming the consequences of climate change in Turkmenistan and obligations under the Paris Agreement.

Seminar participants discussed next steps in the project, potential synergies with other accessibility and information exchange initiatives in the region.
