The Russian capital city will celebrate Novruz online

Novruz Spring Festival will be celebrated in Moscow online. This was reported in the press service of the department of national policy and interregional relations of the capital city, which is the event organizer.

“Novruz has been celebrated in Moscow for 15 years, but this is the first time in its history that festivities will be held online.The live broadcast will air on March 21 from 12 to 18p.m.

Presentations of the Diasporas, sports competitions, games and exhibitions will take place during the online celebration. There will also be a concert of dance and creative groups related to the Diasporas of Russia and the participating countries.

Novruz is an ancient holiday that symbolizes the coming of spring and the renewal of nature. It is celebrated in Tatarstan, Bashkortostan, Dagestan and some other republics in Russia, and in Iran, Afghanistan, Turkmenistan, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Azerbaijan, Turkey, Macedonia, Albania and India in the world.
