The Turkmen delegation took part in the international forum on the experience of conducting population censuses

The Turkmen delegation took part in the international forum "Population Censuses: Challenges and Opportunities" in the city of Almaty.

The agenda of the forum included the exchange of national experience gained in the course of population and housing censuses, as well as issues of planning, preparing, conducting and analyzing the census.

During the event, members of the Turkmen delegation made a report on the conduct of a complete census of the population and housing stock of the country in December 2022. They also shared with the participants their accumulated experience in collecting up-to-date statistical data.

The international forum "Population Censuses: Challenges and Opportunities" is organized by the Bureau of National Statistics of the ASPIR of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Interstate Statistical Committee of the CIS and UNFPA.

The event was attended by over 140 representatives of governments, national statistical services and experts from Azerbaijan, Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia, Moldova, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan and international organizations.
