The Turkmenistan Tennis Championship started in Ashgabat

The country's tennis championship has started in the capital of Turkmenistan, ZV reports.

About a hundred young athletes from the capital and velayats gathered on the courts of the Ashgabat multifunctional stadium to challenge the title of the best in their age categories.

The competition is divided into two groups: for boys and girls under 14 years old and 18 years old. Tennis players will compete in singles and doubles. The main referee of the tournament was appointed 39-year-old national category referee Evgeny Molchanov, holder of an international level Level 1 coaching license.

The Turkmenistan Championship is of particular importance, since based on its results the composition of the country's junior teams in the age groups up to 14 and 18 years will be formed. The best tennis players will have the opportunity to represent Turkmenistan on the international stage during the next season.

The tournament promises to be a bright event in the life of Turkmen tennis and will present the audience with many exciting fights.
