The UNODC Regional Representative for Central Asia visited the Artyk customs checkpoint on the Turkmen-Iranian border

The regional representative of the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC) in Central Asia Ashita Mittal arrived in Turkmenistan. She visited the checkpoint "Artyk", located on the Turkmen-Iranian state border, and got acquainted with the activities of this checkpoint, the press service of the state customs service of Turkmenistan reports.

Ashita Mittal highly appreciated the infrastructure created here, noting the important role of the Artyk checkpoint in the development of cargo transportation and trade between the countries of the Persian Gulf and Central Asia.

During the visit, the issue of creating interactive rooms and situational centers at the point was also discussed.

We remind that the customs post "Artyk" became the best customs post of Turkmenistan in 2022.
