The VAR system will be used at the match between “Ahal” and “Pakhtakor” in Ashgabat

The meeting of the 4th round of the group stage of the AFC Champions League between the Turkmen “Ahal” and the Uzbek “Pakhtakor” will be held using the video assistant referee (VAR) system.

This will be the second match in the history of Turkmenistan in which VAR will be used. The system was first used in the match of the 1st round of the AFC Champions League between “Ahal” and “Al Feiha” (1:0) on September 19.

Referee of the match - Muhammad Nazmi bin Nasaruddin, assistants - Mohammad Zairul bin Khalil Tan, Mohd Arif Shamil bin Abdul Rashid (three - Malaysia), reserve referee - Hussein Abo Yehia (Singapore), VAR - Mohammed Abdullah Nazmi Mango (Singapore), AVAR Ryo Tanimoto (Japan).

The match will be at the “Ashgabat” stadium on November 7 at 19:00 local time. It is expected that the game will be shown live on the “Turkmenistan: Sport” TV channel.

Let us note that “Ahal” will take the field in white uniforms, while “Pakhtakor” players will play in yellow uniforms.
